Vacuum leak, bad fuel injector, bad coil, bad or miss-gapped sparkplug, burnt valve, bent valve, broken valve spring, bad valve seat, bent push rod, broken rocker arm, damaged camshaft, damaged valve lifter, blown head gasket. Yes the list is long. Run a compression test on it.
