can i swap a 5.2 318 transmission with a 3.9 L transmission? both trucks are dodge 1500 just one is a v8 and the other is a v6.

which engine does your truck have? the transmissions are different. if you have the v6, I might do the swap because that would give you a stronger transmission. if your truck has the v8, I would not put the weaker v6 trans in it.

So is it possible to do the trans swap on the v6? Let me know recently bought a truck with the v6, have a 5.9 ram also that will be getting some more attention and v6 will be the new daily
