Crank but no start issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a dodge ram 1500 v8 360 engine. I swap out
my motor and had a transmission shop install my
transmission onto my engine for me. I have every
hooked up that I possibly can but I'm having a
crank but no start issue. I recorded my distributor,
to see if it spins when I tried to start it and it didn't.
So my question do I need to change the distributor
because everything else on that specific distributor
is new except the distributor. However,  could it be
a ground wire that? Do a distributor have a ground
wire?

what do you meen "recorded"? Dijya have the cap off to see the dist rotor not turn? If you pull the dist as an assy, you'll need to have the fuel sync/timing reset. If the dist has ever been off the engine, then you're problem is prolly the fuel sync is so far off it won't start.
