Truck idles rough

Asked by Heather Feb 08, 2016 at 04:39 PM about the 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500, and a few days
ago it started idling rough. If I start it to fast then it
just dies over and over again. But if I turn the key on
for a few seconds before I turn it over then it starts
but idles really rough unless I keep the rpms at
around 1000 for a few minutes. After that it stays
running but still doesn't idle like it should.
