When it rains or snows my 98 Dodge Ram will turn over but it will not start

Question type: General

When it rains or snows and sometimes when I take it to the car wash, for some reason
my truck will turn over but it will not start. If I wait a few days after all precipitation stops it
usually starts but I have noticed that in the winter months we usually have to jump it to get
it started. Does anyone know what would cause this? I would appreciate all the feedback I
can get because this is really frustrating. Thank you

Could be the distributer cap getting moisture in it. It might not be sealing very well. Also even though it's traditional ignition it has a crank sensor and that could be an issue as well. That's where I would start looking.
