My truck dies in drive and reverse.

Asked by DaddyHendrix Jan 05, 2020 at 02:59 AM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have the 5.9 v8 and changed a cracked radiator
and now when I put it in gear it bogs and dies if I
don't keep the rmps up around 1000 rpms idles fine
in neutral and park but dies in any gear has new
spark plugs and cap and rotor checked everything I
can think of and has no trouble codes please help
it ran great before I changed the radiator. Please
help me.

Sounds like idle air control valve and or vacuum leak
