if you floor it does it do the same thing? your torque converter could be trying to lockup too soon

Two possibilities. Low fuel pressure (pump or regulator) or clogged catalytic converter. Both will cause this. How many miles does your truck have on it? Good Luck!

Cheapest thing that comes to mind, and sounds like the 318 I had many years ago, is that you might have a clogged fuel filter. Remember there at least two of them. Also possible to have debris sucked up from the bottom of the fuel tank.

Only one of them on this rig. Dodge trucks have a filter as an integral part of the pump. The sock on the inlet could be clogged if there is junk in the tank.

i dont have catalytic covertors. i fixed my problem. my fuel system relay was shot. comes to show that it can be the simplest things to make you think your truck is going to die for good lol

Very interesting find, there. In most cases a relay either works or not! Glad you found it and you've given us another experience for the memory files! Thanks for the update.

Sounds like a tune up possibly your fuel pumps going bad. Also check your cataletic converter.

I also agree about the fuel pump relay. they work or they don't usually. I have never seen one that works only somewhat. I understand that you fixed it but also keep in mind and for the record, it could easily be a combination of those things. Mines doing it right now. Will have it fixed in no time though, (hopefully)
