Truck jerks on acceleration from a stop

Asked by Browning94 Mar 27, 2013 at 05:13 PM about the 1994 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

94 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter... Ok I
just bought this truck about a month
ago and changed oil, wires and plugs
and did a small tune up! I was driving
the other day and I noticed at a stop
light if I accelerate slowly or fast it
jerks in the rear end of my truck! Like
as soon as I touch to pedal to go it
jerks in the back... Now it only does it
every once in a while... I wanna say
the longer I sit the harder the jerk is?
I'm sure it's the rear diff but not
sure? Um I had the fluid changed in
the rear diff and there was a little
metal shavings and he said my
"clutch pack" needed to be
replaced? Also I need breaks in the
back on both sides and my tranny is
jerking alot! But the tranny is under
warranty so I'm gettin tht fixed ASAP!
Any suggestions would be great...
Thanks
