Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1982 dodge  truck always stalls out
when put in gear and also blows blue smoke

new plugs and wires,  new fuel pump and
filter,  new distrubutor cap and rotary button.
What could be the problem?

The blue smoke is oil burning. Your engine is worn out.

Only time I've ever seen blue smoke come out of tailpipe or anyting is your oil burning and usually is because of a blown motor or one that's ready to blow

Exactly! It's time to rebuild the engine or move on to something else. Hope that helps! Jim
