I hear what sounds like a humming noise

Question type: General

I have a Chevy Impala 2002 front wheel drive.  Lately I hear a humming noise,
faster I drive higher pitch noise seems.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

One of the pulleys on the motor is probably wearing out , ie. alternator , power steering, if you can't tell by ear take the tension off the belt and see what one has any play in it ,

Is it coming from one side more than the other? Maybe a wheel bearing going bad

I will check play in pulley. hopefully is Not Bearing....although I think perhaps the bearing is problem, will take in Monday
