One click when turning heater on/off Impala 01

Asked by chaon Feb 01, 2015 at 03:23 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,
I have an Impala 2001, 3400. Whenever I turn my heat on/off in idle I can hear one loud
"click". When I turn the heat on/off while driving it doesn't click. It sounds like it's coming
from under the car, somewhere under the reservoir/timing belt. I would be grateful for any
input.

HI,,,,You said you here a clicking noise whe n engaging the heater and or defroster.Since defroster runs off your Air conditioner compresser it will make a small clickig sound,You might want to turn your A|C on and see if you here the same clicking sound,That clicking sound should cause you no trouble.GOOD LUCK!!!!!
