2003 S-10 2.2 won't crank and there is no sound when the ignition switch is turned. This is intermittant and if one turns the ignition switch enough it will finally turn over and start. Has been going on for a year.

check positive battery cable for corrosion inside red rubber boot

it sat for a year istarted it and ran for 30 min then shut it down then it wouldnt do shit. lites and dash lit up but not a sound..tried jumping,charging and the battery would drain like pouring water from a pitcher.is it my starter?>
