Question type: Maintenance & Repair

OK my light is on from what the scanner at auto zone says its evap problem(purging during non a non purge or faulty vent silinoid) but that's not why I'm here. When i take off from a dead stop the truck  jitters i guess you could say and my light flashes only (but doesn't flash when i'm stopped or when i'm going down hill what does it mean and it idles ruff. That and also there is a awful odor coming from exhast.
