Why is my Chevy S10 overheating even though I have coolant in it?

bad thermostat or a blown head gasket could even be a bad temp sensor

Or the coolant could be broken down and not protecting the the negative 30 to 34 its supposed to be

No no coolant problems not over heating just rpms sputering and dying at idle
