Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need to reset the timing on my s10 pickup and
haven't found detailed descriptions. I'm not sure if
the process should be the same as on my 76 ford
f150 so please help the truck was broke down for 2
years and two different people tried to set the
timing in two different ways, please help.

Do a compression test first. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. So the timing chain and sprockets will have to be replaced. Then to set the ignition timing the procedure is the same as on your 76 Ford. Only difference is you don't have a vacuum advance mechanism on the Blazer. It's electronic. Hope that helps! Jim
