removal of fuel filter

I have a 2000 chevy s10 fuel filter that can not be taken off. The nut will not come off the filter body. I had a Firestone auto try and after 3 hours they gave up not wanting to break the fuel line. Other than replacing the line, which involves dropping the tank ,are there any other ideas on how I can remove this stubborn filter

The only thing I can recommend but I am quite sure it has already been tried is to spray with PB blaster a few times and let it soak in over night then try removing in the morning.
that or wd/40 to soak in to remove that filter. the lubricant needs to soak into the threads to soften the oxidation.
Yeah we tried soaking it but not over night. I wqas thinking of cutting the fuel filter in half and trying to loosend the body but from the line nut
That was i can spray the PB or WD40 on the nut from the inside
Cut it just past each side and scab in a new section with new fittings and flare fittings. Or use rubber fuel hose with clamps and pray for the best. Normally taking the fuel tank down isn't hard but if your fuel filter won't come off I'd hate to see those bolts.
I put new fuel line from tank to filter (plastic) bought a kit and now have a ford aviator filter. Its new style it has push in type tabs to remove it.
