2001 Chevy cavalier not catching gears

Asked by Mike Mar 10, 2015 at 11:29 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2001 Chevy cavalier that's giving be some trouble. I can put it into any gear with the brake on then release the clutch and the engine will stay running instead of stalling like it should. So basically the gears just aren't catching. Could this be the clutch or just the slave cylinder? There's no air in the lines I've already bled them.
