My first issue is the bracket for the starter. Can anyone help me find this
part? I have a 1997 Chevy 4x4 s10 4.3 vortec. I need the starter bracket
part# 10141956. can't find it anywhere. The dealership cant even help me.
My dad left me this truck. It recently had a brand new crate engine put it in
and when it does start it runs great.
My second issue is where the starter attaches to the block. The part circled
in green is broken off. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Im getting desprate I need this truck and its 4x4 to get up my driveway.
Winter is here and well...
This is a nice truck, my dad was the 3rd owner and I have all the paperwork
on it, every oil change, every tune up, even the original papers from the
dealership. It has been well taken care of.

I didn't see a picture about the part circled in green? How good are you with cutting torch and welder? Can you fabricate your own bracket? Have you tried ebay? I did a web search on that part number, the two places I looked at, said discontinued.
