I have a 97 2.2 standard s10 when I barely have the throttle down it does OK but if u push the gas pedal down all the way it acts like it floods out or it acts like it fouls the plug in the back out

This same thing happened in my 4.3L '91 S-10 while I had it. It would hesitate when I tried accelerating and then kick in after 2-3 seconds. Could be a sticky throttle linkage but I would check for manufacturers bulletins about this.
