Why will my truck not start?

My truck died the other day and wen it did thare was a pop
like a backfire and it lost all power I tried to get it started
but it is not getting a spark any idea what the problem
is???

Its possible that it jumped timing. If it popped and backfired then died with no spark I'd start with a timing check
