Catalytic converter or fuel injectors

Asked by Trailblazer01 Jan 06, 2018 at 06:55 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Blazer TrailBlazer 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My blazer won’t go over 12mph, it shakings when
ideling, and all you smell is rotten eggs mixed with
burnt tranny fluid. Before it would only go 12mph it
was blowing black carbon out of the exhaust when
starting, also it would jump when trying to
accelerate. Any ideas what’s going on with it?

My engine light has been on for probably around 6 months now. I had a tune up done and one side was perfect the other had black carbon or something on them. When it was bogging out all you could smell was burnt tranny fluid. It was shaking.
