1991 S10 4cyl 2wd intermittent Stalling

Asked by Nick Sep 12, 2018 at 11:22 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet S-10 LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My friend has a 1992 S10 that randomly just stops running. He can get it to
start again by spraying starting fluid directly into the carb but its a boggling
problem and we don't know what could be the cause and it seems to happen
randomly/intermittently.
So far we have replaced the ignition module, fuel pump, sparkplugs, wires,
rotor and cap. Fuel filter is also new.

92 S10 TBI, Perform injector resistance test one or both may be borderline bad. Unless you really do have a carb in which case I wouldn't have a clue I've never seen a carb on that year.
