i replaced a alternator and battery on a 2005 express van 3500 it jump started before but now it won crank at all but it tries to all the dash board lights are off is there some sort of antitheft or security syytem that was activated?

Your VATS system probably needs to be recalibrated.

Anti theft would allow it to crank. Check all your connections, a bad connection will cause the lights to dim extremely low when trying to start and when it was jumped the wires may have been bumped to make a good connection.
