I have a 2005 Chevy Express Van, where does the OBD II connecter get the power for "pin 19"? Mine is not "hot" as it should be.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am trying to get my ScanGauge II to work (it plugs into the OBD  connecter) but "pin 19"
of the OBD connecter which is supposed to be "hot" is NOT.  All of the fuses seem OK––
where does the OBD get its power?

It gets, it,s fire from the ecm,you may have bad harness coming off the ecm to obd connector,or the ecm is going bad.

TST is correct. However I've had a few cases where the fuse for the cigarette lighter/accessory port was blown replaced it and the OBD worked.
