when i plug it in it shorts out

I thought the plug might be wet so I dryed it good with a dryer,but it still shorts out

Check your wires leading to the adapter on truck. If this is first time you connect your wiring is off

I had same problems I cut off six inches and put new plug fixed it . The wires get polled and break when plugging in and out.. Good luck.
