tail lights as in brake ? runners ? turn signals , ? dash and dome may be on the same circuit , you really can't "look " at electricity you need a multi meter to see what has power/ground and what don't

Tail lights as in tail lights. You know, the ones that come on when you turn the headlights on. And yes, if you have decent sight you can sometimes see a burned out fuse. Pull it out and look at it in good light.

Oh yes, and since Ford in their infinite wisdom, decided not to actually tell you which fuse controls the TAIL lights, you will have to look at every single fuse just like dealership guys since they don’t really know either.
