1999 f250 5.4l head gasket

Asked by Guru919HBB Dec 04, 2021 at 10:46 AM about the 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat 4WD Crew Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced the head gasket on my engine. I ordered a gasket set
online. I installed the head and intake gasket and found I had a coolant leak
and vacuum leak. I went to the local auto parts store and found my engine is a
1998, I guess there was a change in some components half way thru the
model year. I replaced the intake gasket but still have a coolant leak, is the
head gasket for a 1999 3.5 different from a 1998 head gasket?

I would get stuff like that from the dealer , bring the VIN # and they can help you out . I remember having problems with parts from those years .

I agree with beatupchevy. Take your F250 VIN Number or registration to the nearest Ford dealer and go to talk about it with the Part department clerk. HE/SHE has access to OEM Engine parts diagram. they will give you best advice you could get. Thanks.
