Ok I am haveing a problem with a fuse blowing for the speed control and dash gauges go out. a year or so ago I had to replace the wire harness for the OD thing on column cause it did the same thing

The first time this occurred should be your clue. Check the steering column for something that is chaffing or pinching the wires.
