Engine dies before idle and while under load

I have a 1992 Ford F250 XLT 5.8L. It's a farm truck
that sits for months at a time before it's needed. It
won't start unless i'm on the gas and dies at 1500
RPM before idle. While revved, it dies when I drop it
in reverse with the brake on. I've change the
distributor cap and component, spark plugs, spark
plug wires, fuel filter and MAP sensor. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
