1990 Ford F-250 7.5 L, loses power

I have a 1990 Ford F-250 7.5 liter (32k miles) gas engine that loses power
going up hill with a load. Around town on level streets, no problem, seems to
run great. I have researched the issue on different sites. Some say it’s the fuel
filter, other the fuel regulator. Where do you think I should start to resolve
issue? Thanks

Fuel filter is the first choice, then a fuel pressure and flow test, next would be an exhaust system pressure test, these things were known to melt down catalytic converters.

Hello, here is where I think you should start checking/testing and replacing as needed: incorrectly calibrated/malfunctioning Spark-plugs. Faulty Ignition Coil, Ignition coil-to-Spark-plugs wire, defective Injector(s), A/T Low fluid level, A/T torque converter, Slipping Clutch, Blocked/obstructed fuel filter, EVAP System malfunction, Cylinder compression pressures Low/Uneven.
