my dash lights will work when i have just my parking lights on but when i turn on my headlights they go off what could be the problem

It's the old style pull switch on the dash right? They are 10 to 20 dollars at the parts store and the single highest failure point.

yes it is the pull out one i think i blew a fuse because i took my radio out last night and something sparked and they just stop workin

Ahhh... There is a block on the drivers side, under the dash on that one. It should be the number 4 fuse that's blown. Take a look at the diagram in this link and let me know what you find. http://circuitswiring.com/1993-ford-f150-5-8l-instrument-panel-fuse-box-diagram/
