2006 f150 truck shut off while driving and it turns over but won't start. I am mechanical but not too much in automotive. Fuses are good, there is no theft alarm indicator on. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fuel pump.

Are you getting spark?

According to the codes coil pack on # 1 cylinder is faulty and catalytic converter is bad but I had that converter and coil pack code prior to it shutting off, it would run but would miss at acceleration. As far as fuel pump or fuel pump drive module that is a possibility. I will check for spark tomorrow and let you know. Would you know how to check the fuel pump and module? Thanks

The fuel pump runs of a relay in the under hood fuse box. Try swapping the fuel pump one with another one you know works, like a headlight. See if it starts. If that doesn't work, turn everything off inside the truck,( blower, radio ect) turn the key to the run, not start. Listen for the hum of the fuel pump. You may have to turn the key a few times to hear it. If you can't hear it then my money is that the pump is shot.

Ok I thought the relay was in the fuse panel under the dash by the fuel cut off valve. But I dont know so Ill do some more reserch

My 2006 Ford F150 will crank and go about a mile or two (until it warms up) and then just go dead. I have replaced the fuel pump and the fuel rail sensor.

Any idea as to what could be wrong.
