Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck wont go into drive. I have reverse but not
drive or any other gear. Yes it is an automatic.
When i run codes it tells me it is the neutral safety
switch but want other opinions before i tear into it.
Also anyone know where it is located

Neutral safety switch is down on the shift linkage of the transmission. But I don't think that is the reason for your troubles. It could be a pressure solenoid switch, but chances are the trany is worn out. Drop the pan and look in the bottom of it to see how much d-bree is in it before tipping the pan out, and see if the filter is plugged up with d-bree. Smell the fluid also to see if it smells burnt.
