Slipping in 1st,2nd and drive

Asked by Guru9D21H6 Nov 15, 2020 at 01:06 PM about the 2005 Ford F-150 XL SuperCab 4WD

This happened out of know where.  Started truck and it is barley engaging into
any gear except reverse. Reverse works perfect.  The strange thing is that
when I creep it up to 30mph with the gas peddle and then engage  cruise
control everything works as it should and shifts perfect.

Maybe you have lost the first few gears but not the top gears.
