I believe Ford used a 4.2 V6 engine for 2005. You can check the specifications for each vehicle on-line if the vehicle you want to put it in. You may have to reflash the PCM after the engine swap or maybe take the PCM from the donor vehicle, you'll have to check. I would also suggest labeling the donor vehicle's engine as a 2005 if the swap is made to a different model year. You'll give a mechanic fits if he's trying to adjust an engine thinking it a different year from what it is.
