Why will my truck not start?

Asked by shrimper67 Dec 06, 2013 at 09:20 AM about the 2004 Ford F-150 XL 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 F-150. Shut it off and went shopping. Came out to start and nothing. Not
even with a boost. When I turn the key ahead, the relays and everything work but not even
a click from the starter. Any suggestions?

How old is your battery? 3.5 years is about the max you're going to get. Check for corrosion, clean terminals and check black ground wire attached to frame or engine. Cold weather seems to always check out old batteries.
