No, the 2004 has 3 valves and VVT system, It's a new system that automatically adjusts the timing. If you put in the 2002 your check engine light will always be on because there's no feedback from the missing VVT that the 2002 does not have
You would also lose power as the 2004 engine is rated at 300hp vs. 260.
