Cleaning the throttle body, and the Mass Air Flow Sensor and screen in the air tube along with checking the air filter all could help. Use the appropriate MAF spray cleaner. Run some fuel injection cleaner threw the gas. One other thing to check would be the catalytic converter to see if it is getting plugged up.

I can clean the throttle body and MAF. How do I check the catalytic converter?

On the cat, you can take the vehicle for a ride, get it warmed up to operating temperature, then find a darker area to park while the engine is running and look at the cat to see if it has a orange glow to it. If it does then it is getting plugged up.

Is there a check engine light on? If so have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes.

Thanks. I will try these to see if it helps. I think I am going to end up changing the cats. But I will start with the things I can do myself.

Catalytic converts can not be cleaned. They just go bad and need to be replaced.

Your welcome, the cats are just something to check. Take care of the other things, you can check on the cats if their glowing or not at anytime.
