Malibu with high miles, worth fixing?

Asked by Marty May 18, 2021 at 02:07 AM about the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would just like options please.
My Malibu has over 294,000 miles, it has
issues of course, but I’d like to know if it’s
worth keeping and fixing?
Issues including, rear suspension, front driver
side outer tie rod, brake issues, car overheats
while idling, exhaust issues, hesitates when
accelerating, power loss goin up hills, gas
mileage not good, overall I paid $600 for it,
the repair cost I’m unsure of any other
problems the car has.
Thanks I’m advance.

Nope, I wouldn't fix it. The vehicle has well exceeded its expected useful lifespan. You'll be putting good money after bad. Time to move on and get something newer with less miles on it. Hope that helps! Jim

I would sell it for a couple hundred and buy another car.
