Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is there danger in replacing fuel injectors? I do my own repairs and
maintenance and have had to use haynes and chilton to work through most
of  my repairs. When I looked up how to replace the injectors on my Ford
the repair manual states i need to contact a qualifies repair specialist. I
have never come across this before. Is there something I am missing?
Does it have to do with the pressure in the manifold?

Replacing the injectors is the same as any other repair with risks and safety precautions. If you know what you doing, than you should be OK. Personally I would suggest the repair manual add such statement to indicate a higher level of risk because your dealing with fuel. There is no pressure in the manifold. and injectors pressure would not exceed 40-60 pis, with very small amount of fuel in the line. Good luck:-)

If u want to be extra safe, remove fuel pump relay and started afterwards to drain pressure off the fuel rail, disconnect battery and rail comes out in 2 pieces, left and right. Nothing special about it other than fuel exposure
