2003 F-150 doors stopped locking automatically when going into drive.

Asked by Paxton52 May 03, 2018 at 11:11 AM about the 2003 Ford F-150 King Ranch Crew Cab 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Remote and inside door switch both work locks as they should.  Only when
starting off do locks fail to automatically lock when putting into drive.  Locks
were working last week.

If none of the doors lock the problem could be in the shift lever sensor which supplies power to the lock actuators. Or, depending how the system is wired, there could be a problem within master switch on the drivers side. School yourself on the use of a multi-meter. Probe the power supply to the master switch then shift into drive. If no voltage present when shifting, the problem is further up the line.
