Your talking about solenoid mounted on starter motor? Make sure battery has a full charge and battery cables/ connections all good. Engine isn't seized? Use can use a test light at starter field terminal, that is usually insulated terminal, goes from bottom of solenoid into starter motor, if no voltage, the problem is before test point. Any testing, make sure transmission is out of gear and parking brake set, vehicle can't move. Sometimes, you can remove starter motor, lay it on the ground, hook up jumper cables properly from charged battery to starter motor, at the least, it should kick out drive gear and spin. If it won't even do that, something with starter motor/solenoid. If they need replacing, I replace both as a unit. If you want starter motor wiring diagram, I'll post it? good luck
