Question type: General

I have a 2001 Ford F150 XLT that has a ton of miles on it. It really rides rough. every bump
in the road will be felt while im driving it. are there any cheap ways to fix this and make it
smoother on and off road. my dads Chevy 2500 3/4 ton rides way smoother and mines
only 1/2 ton. thanks a ton

Being 13 years old some suspension replacement like shocks would make it ride better, different shocks would definitely improve the ride. Check the tire pressure, make sure they are not over inflated.

pickups ride a little rough. Usually the more cab you have the smoother the ride. Pickups with more bed the cab ride stiff while unloaded. If you have a standard cab, that is alot of the reason why. You could get weaker leaf springs, new shocks will only stiffen things.

Thank you.my comparison was a crew cab vs a regular cab. With the regular cab truck riding rougher.
