Alternator back bolt won’t tighten

I have a 2001 F-150 xlt and I’m changing my
alternator and the back small bolt won’t
tighten down at all. The bolt doesn’t looked
striped what do I do? Any help would be
appreciated

Obtain a tap the size of the bolt you're trying to install. Thread the tap into the hole and see if it goes in. You may have to retap the threads.
