2001 F150 check engine light comes on and vibrating on acceleration not while coasting?

Driving to an appt. yesterday about 25 miles one way and noticed shaking
upon acceleration. Does not occcur while coasting at all. Check engine light
came on flashing and then off and on again intermittently?

Could be a sign you are in need of a tune-up, with plugs not firing causing a miss. If the check engine came on, there should be a code set. Have it read at a local auto parts store. Chain outlets do it for free.
