F150 2001 two wheel will not start when key is turned it makes a sound like a lwan mower being pulled its very faint. So i replaced the starter thinming that was it and it still wont start.

Still makes the lawn mower sound when jey is turned. And the sound is not coming from the starter area it never was its sounds like its comung from right in front of the driver but in the engine compartment
That is where the starter is located. Is your battery nearly dead? Try a jump start.
The starter is located behind the front passenger tire and i replaced it thinking that it was it. But the noise us comin from thw other side of the truck right in front of the driver. You think it might be the ignintion swtich?
Noises are hard to diagnose and it is hard to tell exactly where they come from. Try my suggestions and see what happens.
