I have a 200l ford f -150 supercrew engine 5.4 V8 4X4 my truck will turn over but not start I can spray starting fluid and it will run as I sprayed starting fluid in it while my son turned it over and it would start as long as you used starting fluid at the same time turn the key as starting and it would start as long as we sprayed and kept the key to the starting position but after we let off the key it would die and the pressure would be at 40 pounds as we stopped spraying and turning the motor over just sitting and the gas pressure went down to nothing and we just put a new fuel pump and fuel filter

Check voltage to the pump, if voltage is present at the pump and pump doesn't work, u have a faulty pump. If no voltage present, trace voltage back to fuel relay.
