Have had that happen. Just cuz its new doesn't always mean its a good part. More so with non factory parts

oh. shut, we pulled the new plugs out and the #4 plug was black. it wasn't burnt but that was the only plug like that.

Sounds like #4 has the misfire. It was running fine before the work was done?

It just ran like it needed a tune up. that's all.

Doubt it. A injector could have some junk in it since you ran the cleaner through it. Maybe the fuel filter is nasty and stuff from it made its way up to a injector

They cleaned the injectors and it still was doing it. not running right. I'm taking it to another shop monday.. Its just strange. thats the only thing left to change is the fuel filter.

2002 Ford f150 4.2 I took off the upper black intake cover off and Isolator bolts to the lower part. One IMRC rod was completely off and one on. I fixed that by buying new plastic bushings and snapping back in the small rod that was off. I put new plenum gaskets and new isolator bolts. That solved all my power problems and rough Idle. I put a new Motorcraft coil pack, Motorcraft spark plugs and wires. Now while the upper intake was off I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and put new fuel injectors. Reset the PCM and I eliminated all the codes I kept getting. I'm telling you from experience I tried everything to not do the work I just told you. It is all those things I replaced and it solved all my problems. My 2002 Ford f150 4.2 has over 260,000 miles and still runs like a champ and no codes have popped since I did this work.

to the person that the car was tuned up and it was still spitting and sputtering check all of your injector connections I've had that problem before and it was just one of the connections the wires that plug into the injectors was not plugged in all the way or Not Making Connections good and it was causing it to spend sputter on that valve see if that might work
