Changed door lock actuators - now power windows are really, really slow...

Asked by BELLC Feb 17, 2007 at 06:50 PM about the 2000 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the both door lock actuators today to fix the power door locks.  Now that I am done, I find both power windows go up real slow, with the driver's side only going up halfway.  What could I have done???? Help!!

Hello, Is there anything else that is not working? Specifically, is the dome light still operational? F150's have relays and solenoids that can be loosened a bit too easily at time. Here is a discussion about diagnosing bad power windows: http://www.f150online.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-41983.html My guess is you may have knocked something out of line while you were fixing your doors. Best of luck! I hope it works out. CarGrrl
