How to install the gas tank on 02 Chevy cavalier

I had to replace the fuel pump on my 02 Chevy cavalier by myself no problem
Except when trying to put the gas tank back in the exhaust pipe and meatal
shell that goes on outside of gas tank is giving me s hard time maneuvering
around it what can I do?

Welcome to the wonderful world of auto mechanics , It came out it should go back in , Pay attention to details , clean bolts , ground Wires etc.
